Ingredients

  • 2lb ground beef
  • 1 large white onion, diced
  • 1/4c chili powder
  • 1/2tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • 1/2tsp coriander
  • 1/4tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1/2tsp pepper
  • 1 6oz container tomato paste
  • 1/4c ketchup
  • 2c beef broth
  • 2c water
  • 2tsp worchestershire

Instructions

  1. Place large dutch oven over medium heat. Add beef and onions and saute until fully cooked. Drain excess oil
  2. Return pan to stove top and add in all spices. Cook 1 minute to toast and incorporate spices. Add in tomato paste and cook another 1-2 minutes. Finally, add in ketchup, broth, and water. Stir to combine
  3. Lower heat and allow to simmer for 1-2 hours.
  4. Add Worcestershire sauce and adjust seasonings as desired.
